HEY! STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE.

There are times while I am driving around my little town running errands that I think wow, these are the worst drivers in the world. 90 percent of the drivers in my town are either under the age of 22 and over the age of 65. So they are either driving way to fast or way to slow. There is nothing worse than when someone drifts into your lane. I can hear myself shouting. HEY! STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE! I think this really is a rat race. Often times I find in my own spiritual race of life that I am the one drifting in and out of the lanes.  So often I place my spiritual gifts and where I am at on my spiritual journey onto the lives of others and expect them to act and do as I would do not remembering that everyone is not on the same journey or at the same place in their spiritual walk as me. Today I was gently reminded by Kay Arthur on Facebook that I need to  stay in my own lane and run my own race. In Hebrews 12:1&2 it says: 1Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with the endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. As a mom, I couldn't tell you how many times I have lectured my children on don't worry about what your brother/sister is doing, but worry about yourself and keep yourself out of trouble. I guess this is one of those practice what you preach moments!! How much a more effective of a mother and a disciple for Christ I could be if I could just keep my eyes upon Him and run the race He has set before me! We have all been made differently so as to accomplish different things for the Lord. So I need to remember when I start drifting in and out of my lane of the race, to just stay in my own lane and focus on the prize that is set before me at the end of the race. For we that are in Christ are meant for so much more than just this! Thank You Jesus!

Brandon's favorite Chicken Tenders:
2 cup all purpose flour
2 cup panko bread crumbs
1 cup of french fried onions, smashed to the size of bread crumbs
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic granules
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup of half n half
6 to 8  drops of hot sauce
2 to 3 pounds chicken tenders or boneless skinless breast cut into strips

A Deep Fryer is a must. If you don't have one, ask for one for Valentines Day. They are awesome.
Heat deep fryer to 355 degrees.
In a deep sided baking dish or mixing bowl, add Flour and next 5 ingredients mix well.
In another baking dish or bowl, mix eggs, half n half and hot sauce, egg mixture will look almost pink.
Coat your tenders thouroughly in the egg mixture, then dredge them in the flour mixture patting both sides of tenders to coat well. Then drop into 355 degree deep fryer ( I only fry with peanut oil) for about 5 to 8 minutes. Place on broiler pan with rack and put in a 225 degree oven to keep warm. Repeat until all are cooked. They are crispy and crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Just they way Brandon likes them.
For some reason this picture makes them look darker than they are.
